By understanding what a Multiple Listing Service is, brokers will be better able to serve their buyers and sellers through clean, accurate data and consistent property information.  Brokers owe cooperation and compensation to their fellow MLS brokers - this helps ease any friction between all the parties of the transaction.

Today's MLS is a course about the MLS. From its conception in the late 1800's to today's trends. From the benefits of listing property for sellers and searching for property for buyers to its governance to its economic impact on its local area.  It all starts with the local MLS. Data derived from MLSs is the mainstream for internet products that is now a multi-billion industry. Bad data, errors and inconsistencies from the broker could put their livelihood at risk.
