Board of Director Candidates

THREE DIRECTOR TERMS 2025-2027  (three-year term)

 

The New Mexico MLS 2025 Nominating Committee, chaired by the NM MLS Immediate Past President, are looking for applicants to fill three future board vacancies starting January 1, 2025.  There are three (3) Director terms starting January 1, 2025 and ends on December 31, 2027.

The NM MLS Board strives to have a geographically balanced representation serving on the board and would like to see Board representation from all seven-member boards of the NM MLS.  As well as areas, such as Artesia, Grants, Raton and Reserve and other New Mexico areas.  All NM MLS Users are encouraged to apply.  The NM MLS’s seven member boards include:

• Carlsbad

• Clovis/Portales

• Deming

• Gallup

• Hobbs/Lovington

• Las Vegas

• Roswell

• Sierra County

The duties of the New Mexico MLS Board are to set policy and regulate the NM MLS Rules & Regulations for the membership as well as balance the annual budget, oversee management of the NM MLS staff and office and to be the ambassadors of the NM MLS.  Throughout the year, there are webinar and conference call meetings and three in-person meetings.  The position of the NM MLS Director requires attendance at the NM MLS Annual Meeting held in the fall. Alternate years include the NM MLS Outreach and the Board Strategic Planning session.  A small stipend is paid for travel when attending meetings in person as well as any hotel needs.

The NM MLS Nominating Committee shall prepare a proposed slate of Directors, and not later than June 30th, shall report the slate to the President and Secretary of the NM MLS, who shall then forward the slate of nominees to the New Mexico Association of REALTORS® Board of Director for vote at the New Mexico Association of REALTORS® Annual Meeting.
